Our Response: Covid 19

As we all continue to follow the Government advice to stay home, we at Willow Tree Learning wanted to send you and your families our best wishes. We look forward to resuming our visits to your schools and settings and working with you in the future. In the meantime, if we can offer any ‘virtual’ support or telephone consultations please do not hesitate to email us.

If this unprecedented time provides you with an opportunity for reading or research, you may want to consider one of the suggestions below. These are books that have been promoted via the Essential SENCO Network and are considered highly useful for SENCOs and Practitioners. If you have a recommendation to share with Colleagues please email Judith.carter@willowtreelearning.co.uk and this will be shared.

Willow Tree Learning will be launching its you tube channel after Easter so please look out for this. It will contain some suggestions for development offered for consideration during this time. Members of the Essential SENCO Network will be emailed with more details after Easter.

We wish you a happy and healthy Easter and hope you and your loved ones stay well.

Best wishes

Judith, Emma, Rachel, Barbara and Jo.

Books to consider…

There is a fantastic book called “Life Coaching for Kids” by Nikki Giant which provides practical resources and activities to support children’s understanding of feelings.

“Sensory Processing 101” by Abrahm, Heffron, Braley & Drobnjak is a great resource and introduction to understanding Sensory Processing.

“Bouncing Back & Coping with Change” by Tina Rae explores how to promote resiliency in children and contains an excellent programme of resources.

“Time to Talk” and “Beating Bureaucracy in Special Needs” both by Jean Gross are essential reading for all.
